The Community Organizing Program focused on developing self-reliant and empowered communities with Manila People’s Organization such as community-managed projects, such as those with partners like Kapisanan ng Sambahayan ng mga Manggagawa sa Manila North Cemetery (KASAMA-MNC), Tondo Micro Savings Group (TMSG), and Sama-Sama Tungo sa Maayos na Tahanan at Hanap-buhay (SMTH). This program involves close collaboration with community members through various initiatives:
- Capacity Building: KKFI conducts seminars on monitoring and evaluation and workshops on leadership development, livelihood training, policy advocacy, and community empowerment.
- Project Sustainability: The program emphasizes the long-term viability of community-managed projects, such as those with partners like SMTH, TMSG, & KASAMA-MNC.
- Partnership Strengthening: KKFI maintains continuous feedback sessions with its Manila community partners to foster strong relationships through regular communication. This process allows for monitoring project sustainability, sharing best practices, enhancing outcomes, and promoting accountability. The program also focuses on celebrating achievements and documenting lessons learned to guide future collaborations and ensure continuous improvement.
